With your help…
Last year, with help from donors like you, the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation delivered $988,555 in additional opportunities to students including the following:
“Thank you so much for sponsoring our students for the Sing Around Nebraska Experience. They do not get many opportunities like this, and I just know they are going to flourish” --Music Teacher Emily Roemmich (The GIPS Foundation funded the entry fee for 39 students to take part in the elite Sing Around Nebraska Honor Choir. These students, due to their economic situation, would have had to pass on this experience without the individual grants offered by the Foundation.)
“I want to thank you very much for the scholarship that has been awarded to me. I was already very excited to be a part of the Career Pathway Institute, but receiving this scholarship has truly opened my eyes to the amazing opportunity I have been given. Thank you!” –Ryan (The GIPS Foundation administers the Career Pathway dual-credit scholarship program. $26,000 was awarded this school year to 41 students, including Ryan).
“We want to say thanks for make the ‘Walking Classroom’ available for us to use this year. We have loved getting out for fresh air and exercise while learning and becoming better listeners at the same time. We love it!” --4th Grade Teacher Sandy Meyer (The GIPS Foundation funds special teacher ideas each year through our Classroom Mini-Grant Program. 24 grants were awarded across the district in 2015.)
The Tradition continues with YOU!
We can’t invest in these value-added student opportunities without your help. Annually, we must raise at least $150,000 through our community and staff campaigns to continue to invest at the level that will impact every student. Let’s continue this tradition of excellence together! We hope that you will join the teachers and staff of GIPS by investing in these value-added opportunities for our students. Your gift to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation is an investment in excellence for individual students, classrooms of students, or entire schools! The tradition continues with YOU!
