Our science club needs a battery for the electric 4-wheeler we are converting. This is our first attempt at an electric vehicle. Originally we were going to use lead-acid batteries, however, through our research we found that these would wear out over 20 charges. Lithium-ion packs are so expensive, but luckily a student researching the problem found an alternative. LiFeMnPO4 is an amazing alternative that is more energy dense and lighter than lead acid, and safer than lithium-ion! However, the battery and the control module and charger are still relatively expensive!
We have the motor, the 4-wheeler, and a way to mount it all together, now we just need the power source to make it run. Help us power the future!
