Career Launch at Reagan High School Wednesday, May 23rd from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Reagan Early College High School (7104 Berkman Drive)
In partnership with Dell Technologies and Austin Community College, Career Launch at Reagan Early College High School aligns with industry needs and provides applied learning opportunities for students who will graduate with a high school diploma and an associates degree. The partnership provides students with early and engaging experiences with the world of work, making academic work more meaningful and better preparing students for success in the workplace.
Save the date: 2018 SEL Symposium
Thursday, June 7th, special session tentatively scheduled for 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Austin High School (1715 Ceasar Chavez)
The third annual SEL Symposium is a professional learning day for Austin ISD principals and teachers. You are welcome to attend and should stay tuned for a special invitation to a lunch session focused on SEL and Parent Engagement featuring the Families as Partners Project supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. This event brings educators together to share their experiences, trials and best practices around social and emotional learning. The 2018 Symposium "re: Connection - The Link to Social Wellbeing" will include nationally recognized keynote, special guests, panel with a local business leader, district rep, mental health partner, parent, and student; and our SEL Seed Campus Share Fair where participating Seed Campuses will share out they're progress on SEL goals for the 2017-18 school year.
