We engage in competition for state championships just like any other sport. Esports provides a platform for many students to compete against other schools in a brand new way. In our program we are able to reach a wide array of students to create a new class of athletes! Our athletes get to showcase and grow their critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills beyond traditional physical athleticism. Esports encompasses a new age of athletics that utilizes math, physics, other sciences and engineering will benefit these students in our modern world, allowing them to work towards increasing their education through eSports’ scholarships at over 175 prominent universities and colleges like Grand Canyon and Arizona State University. Scholarships can range from $6,000 to $25,000 per year (https://collegegazette.com). and more, providing a competitive atmosphere for these athletes.
