Description and purpose of grant: This grant will provide funds to build and support a choral repertoire library for the CISD Tenor Bass Choir. This choir includes ALL 6th through 12th grade tenor bass singers from Middle School North, West, East, CHS@9 and Coppell High School.

The goals and mission of this ensemble seamlessly aligns with the core values of CISD.

• Engagement: The CISD Tenor Bass Choir engages our singers and community in a unique way bringing together singers and families from five different campuses.
• Great Teaching: We are able to support this endeavour with great teaching from all seven secondary choral instructors.
• Relationships: Contructing this choir builds the realationships the singers have with eachother, and our realationship with them as educators.
• Redefining Succes:This choir welcomes ALL singers, meaning singers do not have to audition or go through a selection process; all singers are welcome! We value each individual's contribution because each voice is unique and adds to the success of our ensemble.

The CISD Tenor Bass Choir affords us the opportunity to highlight the emense talent we have right here in CISD.

Implementation process: This project is already ongoing. Last year, the 2022-2023 school year, was our first year. We are excited to make this a tradition of the Coppell Choir Program. This is not only a choir with a choir concert. We begin the year with a social event and rehearsal, sing at a home football game, have a few rehearsals throughout the year and a concert in the spring semester. This year we have over 200 singers. Music purchased with this grant will support singers for years to come.
