Message from Ms. Bergman:

Every morning we start off with a morning message and discuss what we are going to do throughout the day. The students are excited to work on the various projects throughout the day. A carpet would really help us stay focused and in our own space.  The students in the classroom are a mix of race and ethnic backgrounds.  It brings diversity and rich discussion into the classroom since there are so many different cultures. There are many different levels within the classroom but all students work together to help their peers achieve their goals.

With a carpet, we will be able to spend more time at the Promethean Board for whole group lessons. We will also be able to participate in more small group activities on the carpet instead of sitting at a table. Especially during reading groups, we will be able to sit and stretch out as we learn new concepts.

With a new Promethean Board in our classroom, we still have a lot to explore. A carpet will enable us to keep safe and in our own space as we explore technology together.
