Grade: 9-12
Teacher Name: Kelsey Gibson
Description and purpose of grant: Cl@rity Empowers is a community of like-minded people encouraging young women to achieve their professional goals in the fields of STEAM, law, medicine, and business. With the help of CEF's generous grant from last year, we were able to empower over 60 learners by connecting them with professionals from various careers. We also partnered with Dallas Girls Inc and Middle School West's Girls in STEM. Learners also have the opportunity to earn job shadowing hours and also make invaluable connections that will positively impact them potentially for their entire lives, whether it be in school or their career. One of our district's core values is "collective engagement that positively impacts the lives of our children and our world." With your help this year, we will be able to continue our legacy by connecting even more learners with outstanding female professionals in the community.
Implementation process: Each week during FLEX Friday multiple sessions will be offered to students to join. Whole campus, grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to participate throughout the school year. Impact is over 60 learners throughout the school year, plus all girls in STEM from Middle School West.
