With our help, the Blanton Bobcats will be on the go! This fall, our Every Bobcat Reads campaign will raise funds for an additional (hourly) Reading Tutor to work with our Blanton students in the upcoming school year. According to Principal Molina, "the #1 need at Blanton this year is funding for additional reading instruction." Blanton currently employs one Reading Specialist who works with students in groups and one-on-one to address reading challenges. But one dedicated reading instructor is not enough to meet the needs of all our students, and our AISD funds do not cover additional staffing.
This is how we can help. We need to raise $5,000 to purchase additional Reading Specialist tutoring hours and to ensure all Blanton Bobcats have the support they need to become strong readers this year. Living Tree has generously offered to match our community's donations, dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500. So, all donations will be doubled!! Every donation of every amount is welcome.
