Gabi's Garden, a food and flower garden on Wilbur Street in Albany, is cared for by 3 loving parents from the school and as well as about a half-a-dozen volunteers. With the pandemic and no school, we have been doing things a little differently this year. At long last, we are starting to expand from the garden into the tree pits of Grand Street. And a property owner has invited us to take over the stoop of a nearby vacant building!

We are raising money for the stoop garden. Our plan is to start with an inital planting on Memorial Day and to update it each month in the summer, adding new plants and containers.

We are growing plants in our greenhouse for the stoop but need to purchase containers and some spectacular flowers to get us going. Each month's planting will cost about $500. We will do our first planting once we have raised our initial $500.
