We are looking for donations for the Martin MS Band to help with sending students to events, paying for travel, and making sure that students have up to date materials and working instruments.. Due to changes in the district we do not have a 6th grade class anymore and are only a 7th and 8th grade campus. Being that we are a title 1 school, our students come from largely economically disadvantaged families and most are not able to pay the current band fee. In addition to losing a grade level we also lost our assistant band director position and the remaining band position is now split between middle school and elementary campuses which puts a strain on being able to be on every campus as best as possible. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated and would greatly help students get the education in band they deserve.
