I’m reaching out on behalf of the Hoffman Estates Girls Cross Country team as we gear up for another exciting season. Our dedicated athletes have been training hard throughout the summer, and we’re eagerly looking forward to the upcoming competitions. However, to provide the best experience for our runners, we need your help.

As you may know, funding for athletics is often limited, and cross country is no exception. This is why we’re turning to our community for support. The money we raise will directly benefit our athletes in several important ways:

1. Race Entries and Travel Costs: This October we will be participating in the Peoria Invite which is held on the state championship course.  We use this meet as an opportunity to practice for the state championships if we were to qualify as a team or have individual qualifiers.  This is a great experience for the team, but the cost of hotel and food is the respobsibilty of the team.  This meet is a critical part of our growth and success as a team. Your contribution helps cover the cost associated with this invite.

2. Team Gear and Uniforms: Quality gear ensures our runners can train and compete at their best while representing our school with pride. In the past, these donations have helped purchase team bags and spirit wear.  We have also used funds to help purchase proper shoes and spikes for our athletes that may not be able to afford the cost.  Without proper running shoes, runners will get hurt and miss part of the season because of injury.

3. Nutrition and Hydration Supplies: Keeping our athletes fueled and hydrated is key to maintaining their health and endurance throughout the season. Post-run rehydration, fueling and recovery are very important.  With your donation, this will allow for the purchase of protein bars, Endurox and possibly allow the purchase of a mini-fridge where we would be able to fill with protein shakes and choclate milk.

4. Coaching and Training Resources: To keep improving, we invest in resources like training equipment, specialized coaching clinics, and performance analysis tools that give our team the edge they need to succeed. We are in a very competitive conference, and in order for us to have success, certain training resources are necessary.  From exercise bands, to foam rollers, these small resources are invaluable to the health and well-being of the team.

By supporting the Girls Cross Country team, you’re investing in more than just a sport. Cross country teaches discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership—values our athletes carry with them on and off the course. Your generosity helps create these meaningful experiences and allows our runners to reach their full potential.

No amount is too small, and every contribution is appreciated.  Your support makes a significant difference in the lives of these young athletes.
