Legacy High School Students have participated in the MOAS model for a number of years giving students the opportunity to lead and learn how to lead in a diplomatic setting. This program exposes students to dream and think big in a setting outside of the West Texas Region. They get to research global topics that are currently affecting our world and work along side peers from many different countries to come up with resolutions that can be implemented to make the world a better place. It is a huge feat financially to take a group of six to eight students to Washington D.C. to be part of MOAS. Each year we select students who are accomplished leaders in many other areas at Legacy High School but we also select students who are seeking to improve as a leader and grow in their confidence of public speaking and diplomacy. 

We kindly ask you to help us financially to go to Washington D.C. so that in November we can be part of the Model Organization of the American States. We do fundraising through Destiny fund raising and within the school. We also apply for grants and participate in other ways to raise funds. This year we have funds for the entry fee and some for hotels. We still need funding to pay fully for the hotels, transportation and food so students pay the least amount possible.

We will travel to Washington D.C. November 16th to November 22nd. We will spend three days at the OAS building in diplomatic sessions in working groups and writing resolutions. The last two days in D.C. we will spend exploring the history and sight seeing the beautiful monuments of D.C.
