The Blanton PTA is excited to announce the “Love your School, Love your Skin” fundraising campaign during the month of February. As we celebrate this month of love and friendship, we ask that you join our school-wide effort to raise $13,000 for a much-needed custom shade structure over the Pre-Kindergarten playscape.
Sound impossible? It's not! An anonymous donor has generously agreed to match up to $5,000 in contributions made by February 28, 2017. This means if you give $10.00, the anonymous donor will contribute $10.00 to match your donation.
We hope you will support this effort to protect our children from the harmful effects of the sun. As you know, our students are often exposed to these harmful rays between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, the peak hours of UV radiation. A shade structure will provide important protection from the sun’s damaging effects and reduce the incidence of heat-related illnesses.
Please consider a gift this month to make the Blanton playground a safer and more pleasant place for Blanton students. Your gift will go directly to a custom shade structure for our school community to enjoy.
