Hello! My name is Jessica Zadoks, and I am the Head Poms and Competitive Dance Coach at Palatine High School. Alongside our Assistant Coach, Kara Tyner, I am proud and honored to lead this program of talented, dedicated, and passionate athletes.
As so many of you know first-hand, the friendships, experiences, and memories formed as part of a dance team truly last a lifetime. Our teams proudly represent Palatine with their school spirit, athleticism, and leadership. We will have eleven amazing seniors graduating with the Class of 2024! Most of them have been involved since their very first day as Pirates, and the Poms team is their home at Palatine.
As PHS Poms continues to grow and thrive, however, our costs continue to rise. The student body of Palatine High School is extremely diverse, and the cost of joining a year-round sport becomes a barrier for many students. While we have several smaller fundraisers in place throughout the year, we are hoping this will help us meet some of our larger essential needs. The money raised will go towards competition routine choreography, team spirit wear, and team-building experiences such as fitness classes and technique clinics for the upcoming school year. IHSA competition routine choreography is an especially significant expense that is vital to the success of our team. Our $2,000 goal would provide our students with the best experience possible and ensure that we can set foot on the stage with confidence.
We begin every performance with a team chant: “Pirates, we are one.” We are so grateful to be supported by a generous and involved group of family, alumni, and community members, and this mantra could not ring more true. We appreciate any amount you can give at this time.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions! We thank you so much for your consideration and support. Go Pirates!
Sincerely,
Coach Jessica Zadoks
