Water Slide Splash Reward Day for Top 3rd - 5th Grade Readers!

Casey Crocodiles have been doing an AMAZING job slipping and sliding into reading all year long!  We rewarded our TOP 3rd - 5th grade readers with an end-of-year Water Slide Splash Day on Friday, May 20th to show them that we support their efforts in reading.  With your generous donation, we will be able to offset the remaining cost to rent 3 giant water slides so that our top readers could enjoy Water Slide Splash Day.  We are proud of their efforts to become avid readers!

The Casey Library Media Center sponsored an Accelerated Reader (AR) Reading Contest from March 21 - May 18, 2016.  Our librarian, Mr. John Garcia, sponsored this reading contest to motivate students to become life-long readers and they were VERY excited about this reward!  Students had approximately 8 weeks to earn the required number of points to earn an invitation to the reward day. The required indivual points per grade level were:  3rd grade students = 15 points each, 4th grade students = 20 points each, 5th grade students = 25 points each.
