Make a Difference This Holiday Season with Sun Valley High School!

For over 45 years, Sun Valley High School's Student Council has proudly led a cherished tradition: our annual Children’s Holiday Party. This year, our goal remains steadfast: to raise $20,000 to support 20 deserving families right here in the Sun Valley community.

These families, identified by counselors at all 4 Sun Valley elementary feeder schools, are facing financial hardship and could use a helping hand during the holiday season. We focus on families with children from kindergarten through second grade, and work with the counselors to ensure that our support reaches those who need it most, with each family receiving assistance only once.

We have on our counselor this year a student whose family has been a recipient of a CHP gift. The impact that the gift from their community made on the family inspired this member to join the Student Council as soon as he reached high school because he wanted the opportunity to make an impact on other families who might be struggling at the holidays. His heartfelt testimony about the profound impact this event had on their family during a challenging time truly inspires us. It reinforces our commitment to making a lasting impression on our community, and we hope you'll join us in extending that reach even further.

Sun Valley High School students are dedicated to reaching our fundraising goal through a variety of engaging events:

• Holidays in the Valley: Get into the festive spirit at our community-wide Holiday Celebration!

• When: TBD

• Where: Sun Valley High School Cafeteria

• What: Enjoy crafts, games, delicious food, and a special visit from Santa Claus!

• Admission: Just a $5 donation per family! Everyone is invited to join the fun!

• Student-Staff Athletic Contests: Brace yourselves for some friendly competition! This year, our students and staff will face off in an exciting basketball championship game. Students can donate $3 to get out of class and cheer on their peers and teachers! 

• Holiday Movie Nights: Snuggle up for a holiday classic! For a $5 donation, students receive a drink and popcorn while enjoying a festive movie.

• Sweets & Treats Sales: Special sweets and treats will be sold through December to keep everyone in the holiday spirit and raise money for these special families.

While our students work hard organizing these events, your direct donations are crucial to reaching our $20,000 goal. Every dollar you contribute directly helps guarantee that families in need receive the support they deserve this holiday season. If you need a letter for tax purposes, please leave a note with your email, and a letter will be emailed to you.
