The description and purpose of this grant is straightforward.  The Engineering Lab at Coppell High School is in need of two types of bench vises.  We have some old vises that are broken, and wish to resplace them with functioning units.  These devices will be used across the Engineering curriculum as well as the Robotics curriculum here at Coppell High School.  These devices fall into the category of general tools.

The two specific types of vises are:

Bench vises (qty 2) - to be bolted down to tables in the Engineering lab and available to all students in the lab

Low profile vises (qty 2) - these are low-height vises that can be carried to the location where they are needed.  These are typically used for light duty work in the lab.

The implementation process is straightforward.  The two bench vises are bolted down to lab work tables.  The two low profile vises are kept in secure locations and given to students as needed.  The total student count of Engineering and Robotics students will benefit from this grant (in excess of 500 students).

Items to be purchased with grant money - The items being requested are to be bought directly from Amazon.  Hence, shipping costs and sales tax are not included in this request.  The specific details of the items and their links are provided in the application.

In the event my grant is not fully funded, the minimum amount being requested to provide benefit to the Engineering students is $106.17.  This number represents a quantity of one (1) of each of the requested items.
