Founded in 1933, the Monroe Band Program is the fourth oldest band program in the State of North Carolina. The program has a rich history and tradition of excellence that has been a source of pride for the community of Monroe, NC for generations. The Bands have received "Superior" ratings at countless music festivals and "Music Performance Assessments" across the country including the National Band Music Festival and the SCDBA MPA Festivals. Formerly known as the "Redhawk Regiment," in 2017 the marching band became known as The Monroe High School "Red Storm". As the program contintues to grow exponentially, it also continues to showcase variety, versatility, showmanship, and most importantly Musicianship!
