Somerset Elementary is a grades K-5 elementary school located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. We are part of the B-CC cluster in the Montgomery County School system. The association of parents and teachers at Somerset Elementary is a key ingredient to our school’s success. The Somerset PTA seeks to promote the welfare of children, support our teachers, and bring our families’ homes into a closer relationship with the school. We provide teachers stipends, a cultural arts program, scholarships, and services such as a school directory and yearbook. We host community events including a fall picnic, a book fair, a school dance and toy-drive with the theme of giving to others, a school play, a used book & bake sale and a night to Share our Diversity. We represent the school in the larger PTA community and we encourage all families to get involved within their classrooms and the school.
