Give Today to Support Dyslexic Learners
On Friday, October 7, 2016 Austin ISD will host a free conference for education leaders, teachers, researchers, parents, and advocates to learn about current best practices to identify, intervene, and support dyslexic learners in our public schools.
Support the 2016 Central Texas Dyslexia Conference
Help students with dyslexia and related disorders excel in the classroom. Funds raised for the Dyslexia Conference will enhance the education of dyslexic students by providing resources and skills to transform learning in the classroom. Your investment in the 2016 Central Texas Dyslexia Conference will educate parents and teachers about dyslexia and what we can do together to support student success.
Every Donation Makes a Difference!
You can help! Donations big and small will provide teachers with training and support to improve student outcomes, and parents and students with the knowledge to work collaboratively with their schools.
This free conference will feature nationally known speakers including, Kelli Sandman Hurley of The Dyslexia Training Institute and Jamie Martin, an assistive technology expert. Interactive and engaging breakout sessions will address the most current research in dyslexia and related disorders, state-of-the-art dyslexia intervention and more.

I'm a parent of two brilliant dyslexic children. I hope that some day our Laredo community will also come together for this cause.
I'm excited to help increase awareness and understanding of dyslexia, as well, as help support getting the tools and resources to make our dyslexic students successful.
