Dear 4th Grade Families, 

On Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, the fourth grade classes will visit the La Brea Tar Pits. The La Brea Tar Pits is located in Los Angeles, so it is extremely important that your student arrives on time, so we can leave as soon as possible. We will depart from our campus at approximately 8:30 a.m. and return to campus by 3:30 p.m, depending on traffic.  We will be traveling on a chartered bus to and from our campus.  This exciting excursion aligns with many of our science standards. Champions will explore the tar pits museum and get to watch “Titans of the Ice Age”. We will end with a short trip to the gift shop.

Please send your Champion dressed comfortably in jeans, tennis shoes, and their teal or white polo shirt.  

To help make this trip possible, we are asking for a voluntary donation of $30.00 per child. The permission slip and donation are due no later than February 10, 2023. If we do not receive the full amount needed by February 10, 2023, we will not be able to attend.
