AVID is a national college preparatory program geared towards helping underrepresented populations succeed in high school and college.  AVID helps students by exposing them to higher education opportunities and teaching them best practices for academic success. AVID empowers students to break educational barriers with assistance, such as paying for AP exam fees as well as providing scholarships for college textbooks.

McCallum's AVID program hopes to raise money to help our AVID students pay for AP exam fees. We also hope to give several deserving seniors college textbook scholarships.

Last year, your generosity allowed us to provide 6 AVID seniors with college textbook scholarships and we were able to cover the AP exam fees for every AVID student who wanted to take the AP exam!
