Dear Austin High Community, Families, Friends, Supporters,

You are receiving this letter to let you know about the good things that are happening in the Austin High Girls Golf Program. Austin High is the oldest public high school in the State of Texas and has been fortunate enough to have many distinguished alumni throughout its history. As the coach of the girls’ team, I take it as a huge responsibility to do whatever it takes in order to continue to write positive history in the long established history of Stephen F. Austin High School.

In order to give the best possible path to this history, we need to think of the players that we have in the present and continue to push for the best possible tools and resources in order to continue to improve our student athletes. We need the financial support to take the girls to all eight tournaments they should all be playing in, for golf balls, ball markers, lodging for the varsity Corpus Christi tournament, and an end of the year banquet that will reward all of the girls' hard work.

Currently we have a golf simulator room that has a trackman that we share with the boys program. However, we do not get to use the trackman when the boys have practice. We currently have an offer from Foresight Sports to purchase a GC Quad for half price! Instead of $22K it would be $11K. A GC Quad and Trackman are the two best launch monitor tools on the golf market as they are both used up and down the range at any PGA or LPGA Tour event you may go to. A GC Quad is very portable and can be used inside our simulator, at the driving range, and on the course. This would be an incredible opportunity to have for our program because the instant feedback it can give to our girls will be invaluable and can attract the next generation of girls!

In order to try and keep up with the facility race that is going on among the top golf schools in Texas, we are installing an indoor putting green in the golf room on campus. Donated funds will help the start of building the putting green and to continue to establish our vision for the golf room expansion to include more cameras, monitors for swing coaching, and possibly more space.

With your generous support, we will continue to push the limits of success to make our golf program elite. We want nothing more than to make Austin High Girls Golf a household name in the great State of Texas.
