To recognize and celebrate LGBTQIA2S+ students, staff, and families, Austin ISD hosts an annual district-wide Pride Week & Party in the Park. This is a time to highlight the district’s commitment to creating and maintaining a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all. For many Austin ISD students, staff and families, these events bring feelings of joy and a sense of community. 

Austin ISD’s Pride Week & Party in the Park are also an integral part of the district’s "No Place for Hate" campaign, demonstrating to thousands of young people that our district is a welcoming place. Austin ISD’s leadership, including Superintendent Dr. Stephanie S. Elizalde, are proud to participate along with hundreds of folks across our community.

We can’t wait for this year’s Pride Week beginning on March 21, 2022! Throughout the week, Austin ISD students will engage in Pride Week activities on their campus, including community crafts, creative expression projects, anti-bullying lessons, and student-led school-wide No Place for Hate activities. The week is capped off by the Pride Party in the Park for the entire community on Saturday, March 26 in the outdoor courtyard at Eastside Early College High School, where families and supporters can connect with each other, find valuable resources, and build a support system.
