FHS Orchestra Play-A-Thon

Support our orchestra students by participating in our first annual Play-A-Thon!

Funds collected will allow FHSOPA to increase financial support for orchestra students and the FHS program, both in and out of the classroom.

Parents, we realize there are many requests for donations and financial support from your students, but please consider making a no-fuss, tax-deductible financial donation to support FHS Orchestras. The annual student fees collected in the fall cover necessities such as classroom and instrument upkeep and music licenses, but the FHSOPA provides funds to support the students in extracurricular ways, including:
  • Hiring sectionals coaches in the classroom
  • Paying for unexpected classroom instrument repairs
  • Funding competition costs and orchestra registration fees (SRO, SDO)
  • Purchasing additional spirit wear
  • Lowering the student and chaperone spring trip expenses
  • Printing senior concert programs
  • Hosting the end-of-year picnic

We have not attempted a central fundraising effort in the past, and would like to make this endeavor as successful as possible to improve the overall FHS Orchestra program for all our students.
