Throughout the next month, Fremd High School is partnering with Special Spaces to transform a bedroom for Samuel, a very special FUTURE VIKING! Our community outreach program is dedicated to making a difference in our community. This charge is one that we feel very passionate about, one that will provide new experiences for our students, and one that we hope can bring happiness to our community members.

Samuel was diagnosed with VHR Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in August of 2019. With the help of his doctors, his family, and his determination, he finished treatment in December. Samuel has overcome great obstacles to be here with us today.

Although he is almost 7 years old, in 7 more years, he will be walking our halls and wearing the green and gold of Fremd High School.

On March 18^th, Fremd High School students will be remodeling Samuel's bedroom and we need your help. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for this project. Go Vikes!!!

Special Spaces is a nonprofit organization that creates dream bedroom makeovers for children with cancer.  This national organization was started by one mom doing one room in Knoxville, TN. As their passion for the mission evolved, her grassroots team grew. Special Spaces now spans 14 states with over 50 volunteer directors who have helped create over 1,300 dream bedroom makeovers.  200 or those dream bedrooms were right here in Illinois.
