Grade: 6-12
Teacher Name: Katie Walker, Libby May
Description and purpose of grant: Coppell ISD campuses are proud and excited to host 6 Hope Squad programs across our secondary campuses for the 2024-2025 school year. Existing programs at CHS, CHS9, New Tech High at Coppell, are joined this year by all three CISD middle schools. Nationally recognized, The Hope Squad mission is to bolster the mental well-being of all learners by fostering human connection, community, and hope on campus through peer-to-peer programming. The purpose of this grant is to support the Hope Squad mission at each CISD campus.
Implementation process: The first few minutes of any learner’s morning set the pace for the rest of the day, and our CISD Hope Squads are committed to helping learners start their days strong! CISD Hope Squad Members have the opportunity to greet their peers with a hearty welcome, a hopeful message, and a happy tune to remind each learner what an important part of their campus community he or she is. This grant will impact the well-being of thousands of CISD students this year, and for years to come.
