Description and purpose of grant: Our STEAM program aims to deliver an integrated educational experience that bridges science, technology, engineering, art and math.  LEGO Spike Prime Robotics kits offer an interactive platform for students to engage in hands-on learning, promoting skills in. building, coding, and engineering. By incorporating LEGO Spike Robotics kits and rotating them between schools, we plan to connect STEAM skills to subjects such as science and social studies, thereby enriching the educational experience for all upper elementary students in Coppell ISD.

Implementation process:

Students in grades 3-5 will be introduced to the SPIKE Prime robots as part of their STEAM curriculum. To ensure all students in these grades have access, the SPIKE Prime kits will rotate among CISD elementary schools. The kits will be stored at Canyon Ranch Elementary for inventory management and control.

To facilitate this process, STEAM teachers will develop a scheduling document that allows schools to reserve the kits for three-week periods. Teachers will collaborate to coordinate the pickup and drop-off of the kits from Canyon Ranch. This approach will help maintain organization and ensure a smooth, equal distribution of resources across all CISD elementary schools.

In the event my grant is not fully funded, this is minimum amount I would need to get started on this project: $3999.50 for 10 kits
