Livestrong at School has provided over four million students with age-appropriate curriculum designed to help kids learn about cancer. This September, we’re asking teachers to band their students together and fund-raise to help support:
• Classmates and families living with cancer
• Children’s Cancer Awareness Month (September)
• Livestrong, solving the everyday practical problems for kids with cancer
When kids are diagnosed with cancer, they can’t attend school and miss time with their friends and classmates. In addition to isolation, many kids experience problems like nausea, loss of appetite, and malnutrition. Families are also overburdened with expensive medical bills, and at times don’t even have access to reliable transportation to bring their kids to treatments.
We believe kids and families deserve a better today, not just hope for a better tomorrow. Livestrong solves these problems by investing in practical, everyday solutions that help families and kids live strong. But we can’t help kids and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis without support. Now more than ever, we need your help raising money to keep our services free and accessible to the families that need them most.
Let's support these sweet kids!
It goes to a very worthy cause.
What Gary suggests I know is worth while and reading about this led me to see it is.
Cancer has impacted my family on many occasions, and I hate to think of a child being sick.
Cancer and the treatment of it is hard to live with. No child should ever have to go through it and no parent should have to see their child suffer. Small kindnesses go a long way for these families.
