The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders is a public, all-girls college preparatory school of choice founded to educate young women from diverse backgrounds, and serves grades 6-12 within the Austin Independent School District (AISD). The school opened in 2007 with grades 6 and 7 and had its first graduating class in 2013, when all 6-12 grades were represented.
The Band program has grown considerably over the years, becoming the largest student organization on campus with almost a quarter of the school involved. The Ann Richards Marching Stars is the nation's only all-female competitive marching band. They have competed in UIL Marching Contests, Bands of America Regionals, and local contests in and around Austin.
We are raising money to help in preparing to perform in the 2021 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! Our goal is $25,000 this Spring, with a total goal of raising $200,000 by November of 2021. We need your help to make this magic happen! Please donate what you can to help our cause as we work to reach our goals.

La Escuela de Ann Richards para Líderes de Mujeres Jóvenes es una escuela pública preparatoria universitaria para niñas, elegida para educar a mujeres jóvenes de diversos orígenes, y sirve a los grados 6-12 en el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Austin (AISD). La escuela abrió en 2007 con los grados 6 y 7 y tuvo su primera clase de graduación en 2013, cuando todos los grados 6-12 estaban representados.
El programa Band ha crecido considerablemente a lo largo de los años, convirtiéndose en la organización estudiantil más grande del campus con casi una cuarta parte de la escuela involucrada. I’m not sure how I was able to go to Macy’s, but I’m sure I received a lot of help. I can only offer a small donation but hopefully it helps get someone closer to a trip of a lifetime!

Marching band led to so many friendships, several of which are more than 15 years strong. Plus always women supporting women. Knock it out of the park!!
