Description and purpose of grant: Family STEAM Night and Science Demo during the school day. Families will have an engaging, hands-on evening working through STEAM focused stations as part of our Science Showcase/Family STEAM Night. This grant will pay for the Perot Museum of Nature and Science to come out and help host the event. They will also have a Science Demo during the school day to get students engaged in the Super Hero Science and excited to come to the Family STEAM Night. Families can learn about cell biology, sports medicine, and more.The goal is to have parents come and join their children in learning more about STEAM. This event supports our core values of engagement and building relationships.

Implementation process: The funds, paid to the Perot Museum, will cover 500 participants for the night and lead to family engagement in our STEAM program and the science demo that occurs during the school day.

Items you plan to purchase with grant money: We will be purchasing the Family STEAM Night package called "Superhero Academy Science Night". The museum employees will be on hand to help with implementation for the event. It will also purchase the Super Hero Science Demo that would take place during the school day.

In the event my grant is not fully funded, this is minimum amount I would need to get started on this project: $1,200
