Dear Local Business Owner and Community Members,

Zavala Elementary has served the east Austin community since 1936 at our historic campus at the corner of Robert T. Martinez and East 3rd Streets. We are a small but mighty AISD elementary school, with approximately 300 students from our diverse community attending from pre-K3 through 6th grade.

We are reaching out to you today in search of monetary and/or in kind donations from local businesses and individuals. With your support, the Zavala Elementary PTA will be able to fund valuable programs, events, and supplies for our school which are not funded by the school district, such as field trips, PE/art/music equipment, school-wide events like Spring Fling, teacher appreciation breakfasts, teacher professional development, our learning garden, and more! 

Sponsorship levels (which include recognition packages consisting of banners, newsletter recognition, and online communication shout-outs) start at $150 and up, but we welcome donations of any amount! We are also seeking in kind donations in the form of supplies, gift certificates/cards, or food donations to support our staff appreciation events and membership meetings.

IN-KIND DONATIONS (All levels)

 In-kind donations are appreciated, and will receive the same recognition as the above cash sponsorships based on the value of the in-kind donation. Smaller donations will receive the following:

Event Recognition: Verbal recognition at the event the in-kind donations supports and in any related newsletter announcements (e.g. “PTA meeting pizza sponsored by ____”).

Website Recognition: Appreciation post on the Zavala PTA Facebook page with your company logo and link to your company website.

Website Recognition: Company logo listed on the Zavala facebook page.

We specifically are looking for the following in-kind donations:

Food or snacks for monthly PTA meetings (to serve ~30 people).

Food or beverages for our annual teacher appreciation breakfast and lunch (to serve 55 people).

Printing services for the donor recognition banners and school t-shirts.

Soil, mulch, lumber or gardening supplies to help maintain the outdoor learning classroom and garden.

Clothing donations for our free school “clothes closet.”

Food donations for our in-school community food pantry.

Gift cards for teacher thank yous or fundraising events.
